Hi


I am vikram lamichhane, i am 21 year old and currently doing my study from Deharadun (India).

Here I am going to share some great exprience of my village journey which is one of rural & hilly village of nepal Luha Pipaltari District Parbat , zone Dhawalagiri , Nepal but it is very rich in natural beauty you can find several cave , forest , fountain small and big river such as Modi river which come from Annapurna mountain and Kali Gandaki river which come from Dhaulagiri mountain,clear view of Annapurna region of the Himalaya mountain including Machapuchare 6993m. (22,943 Ft)

District Parbat


District Parbat have 494km² Area with several mountain and rivers with population of 1,60,826 people in 2009
Kushma is the nearest bus station from my village Luha and main town of Parbat distict ,
Parbat district is a hilly area of Nepal. It is a part of Dhawalagiri Zone and one of the seventy-five districts of Nepal, a landlocked country of South Asia.
It is mainly famous for the Gupteshowr Cave and Alpeshowr Mahadev Cave which is visited by thousands of pilgrims during Shivaratri, Alpeshowr Mahadev Cave is 1 k.m away from Luha. It is also noted for the Dahere Deurali Temple, which is visited by thousands of pilgrims during Balachaturdanshai.

Dhawalagiri (or Dhaulagiri) is one of the fourteen zones of Nepal with Total 8,148 km2 Area and 5,86,842 Population in 2009. It comes under the Western division of Nepal .
Baglung is the headquarters of this zone. Famous trekking areas like Mustang, Muktinath, Kali Gandaki valley and Mt. Dhaulagiri fall in this zone. Royal Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve, the only hunting reserve in Nepal is spread over Baglung and Myagdi districts of this Zone.

Dhaulagiri I (8167m), the seventh highest peak in the world locate under Dhawalagiri zone. Kali gandaki one of the famous and holy river of nepal come from Dhaulagiri mountain range.

Machapuchare mountain


Machapuchare 6993m. (22,943 Ft) Machapuchare is a neplai word come from "Macha" means fish and "puchar" means tail thus Machapuchare means fishtail it called Machapuchare because it's top is lock like tail of fish.Machapuchare or Machhaphuchhare is a mountain in the Annapurna Himal of north central Nepal. It is revered by the local population as particularly sacred to the god Shiva, and hence is off limits to climbing.
Machapuchare is at the end of a long spur ridge, coming south out of the main backbone of the Annapurna Himal, that forms the eastern boundary of the Annapurna Sanctuary. The Sanctuary is a favorite trekking destination, and the site of the base camps for the South Face of Annapurna and for numerous smaller objectives. The peak is about 25km north of Pokhara, the main town of the region.

pokhara name is come from nepali word "pokhar" which means lake it is famous for it Phewa lake
pokara locate in gandaki Zone and kaski district with area 11.6 km² water 4.4 km²and population 2,10,000 in 2009
and locate in198 km west from kahtmandu it is thrid largest city of nepal after kathmandu and biratnagar
it is also one of the most popular tourist destinations of the nepal.

How to reach Pokhara :-
Pokhara locate in 198 km west from kahtmandu you have two way to reach pokhara from kathmandu one by bus and by aeroplane road way is perfect if you wann to see the beauty of nepal you can find several beautyfull mountain view river fountain and some traditional home bridge and hotels during your journey
and many other things that make nepal differe from other hill area of world
nepal is also called a country of temple
you can finde several histrorically tempale in all over the nepal.

Kushma is the capital of Parbat District in Dhawalagiri Zone, Nepal.
and it is 55 km west from pokhara and nearest bus station of my village (Luha) which is 9 k.m. away from kushma.

How to reach Kushma :-
you have only one way by a road from pokhara which is 55 k.m away from kushma
and it take approximatlly 3 hrs due to hill road
and it the most beautifull stage of you journy you can see several fountain a close view fo machapucare Dhaulagiri
and many other mountain of aunapuran mountain range.

Baglung


Baglung is the district headquarters of Baglung District and is also the zonal headquarters of Dhawalagiri Zone.
baglung which is 15 k.m away from kushma and it is last bus station.

Tracking from Kushma to Luha


Now finally after a approximatly 14 hrs journy from khatmandu to phokrara and 3 hrs from phokara to kushma you reach your bus station and next 9 k.m. you have to complete by tracking and it take 3 to 4 hrs.
to reach Luha in your last 9 k.m journy you have to crose Modi river by a small bridge , Modi river come from Annapurna mountain range, Alpeshowr Mahadev cave appear after 2 hrs tracking Alpeshowr Mahadev cave end with beautiful fountain which fall in Modi finally after cross Modi river and Alpeshowr Mahadev cave you reach Luha.

Luha


Luha is a small village comes under parbat disctrict with 100 to 120 people.
live in their traditional home which are basically two type some home are very old and rounded in shape and it is locally called "Ghumaute ghar" or "Ghumaune ghar" it's meaning is rounded house and it's shed made by a special dry grass locally called "khar" while some other home are more advance and it's shed are made by spesial hard black rock candle called "Kode dungo" now a days stell sheet take place of "Kode dungo" and "khar" grass
some of them you can see tradition home you can see here
both types of home divide into two part first part is it's flore part and used to common purpose for living and cooking but upper part of a traditional home make it differ from modern home upper part of home locally called "Aati" commonly used as store room to store grains such as rice Wheat and corn maize and other dry food
some traditional domestic articles include"Thumse"used to store littile amount of grains"Jaato", use to make powder of grains"Bhakari" use to store large amount of grains and "Doko".to store and transmit grass , wood, grains, and manythings.
